What’s your sofa style?

What’s your sofa style?

The humble couch is an undeniable and highly essential part of our lives. While you may have been told off umpteen times to get off the couch, the fact remains that the right sofa is a blessing and a vital one at that (for obvious reasons!). On the subject of choosing the right sofa set, you should bear in mind that everybody has t sofa style. You’ll have come across many types of peoples with diverse and contrasting sofa preferences to match!

Some may have chosen more sober, vintage and classic designs (picture the grays and browns) that fit their staid and thinking personalities. Some may have chosen colors that you would not consider normally, i.e. bright orange or pink or even loud red hues for instance! Some choose the middle path, opting for safer hues and styles. Some buy classic designs, some prefer tufted, many opt for L or U shaped sofas while some pick individual sofa pieces to come together almost like a mini puzzle.

Question is, what’s your sofa style?

To answer that question effectively and find the best sofa setfor your home, you need to consider a few parameters. These are the shape, size, colour and material. You can then fuse your unique personality indicators with the search procedure, ending up hopefully with something that you will cherish for a long time indeed!

  1. Shape & SizeSofas naturally come in a plethora of shapes and styles. Are you into L or U shapes? Do you like curves or rounder forms? Would you like the I shape instead? It all boils down to your living room, available space and what you can picture amidst the same.  If you are someone who loves lying down on the couch with your favorite show/movie playing on the screen, then you should choose the sofa shape accordingly. If you prefer keeping things neat in the living room while maximizing seating space for guests, select likewise. Size-wise, be careful with your choices; you do not want to end up with a sofa that looks excessively bulky and occupies almost all the space in the room. The sofa should be proportionately sized to the amount of space that you have.
  2. Material- Choose your sofamaterial with care. Durability and comfort are two key points in this regard. You can consider polyester for higher reliability and long-lasting usage while leather brings that sturdy feel. Rayon and cotton mixes are also present in the market. Selecting the right material will ensure years of comfortable and hassle-free usage.
  3. Color- The sofacolor is a matter of personal taste. You can go for something brighter and bolder for a vibrant look in your living room. On the flipside, you may consider elegant, understated yet minimalistic hues. Navy is a happening color along with grey, off-white and lighter shades with a hint of pastel charm.
  4. Type- From curved and tufted to fluted sofas, there are literally a plethora of choices for homeowners. Fluted sofastyles are finding more takers with their fusion of versatility and classic appeal while tufted styles harness that regal look to perfection.

Taking all these factors into account, what’s your sofa style? Ponder over it, take your time and evolve a style which is sustainable, comfortable and stylish at the same time.
